Four Seasons
Located on Park Lane, London’s Four Seasons is an institution of international renown. This hotel reopened in 2011 after a makeover and it certainly won’t disappoint when you step through its entrance. Its interiors were created by the designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, who opted to introduce plenty of colour into the bar and lounge areas but chose a more understated colour scheme in the bedrooms.
Highlights include a tenth floor spa and gym and an arrivals lounge for guests who fly in early. The hotel also offers an outdoor garden during the summer months.
The Dorchester
Another of the city’s top hotels is The Dorchester. Also situated on Park Lane, this Art Deco building has plenty to offer and it attracts a stream of high-profile guests. While there, you can dine in eateries including China Tang, the Dorchester Grill and Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester. Meanwhile, the hotel serves a sublime afternoon tea.
The Savoy
Positioned on the Strand, the Savoy is last but by no means least in this list of London’s top hotels. Set back from the busy road, this Edwardian construction is bound to make a big impression as you approach its grand entrance.
In its famous River Room, you can sample a tempting French menu and there is also the Savoy Grill to test out. Its owners revamped the eatery several years ago and restored its glamorous 1920’s theme. The classic British and French dishes on offer are perfectly complemented by this traditional decor.
