Back to boots!

Guest post by Erika Sorocco – Café Fashionista

Darlings, I realize that come fall, as the leaves begin to morph into a bevy of blissful colors, and pumpkin patches start to pop up on every corner proclaiming that Halloween and the holiday season is just around the corner, one is supposed to be thinking of back to school. Yes, returning to the hallowed halls that held us prisoners for so many months before releasing us for the summer. Sadly, I am incapable of doing so. In my eyes, the fall season is not about back to school; rather, it is about back to boots – stocking up on the styles that will see you through the blustery season with true fashion-forward finesse. Thus the reason why I am letting you in on a little secret…my top five boot choices for the fall season.

1) Steven by Steve Madden ‘Maryn’ Distressed Leather Boot
The color is unique, proffering a marbled gray/brown/taupe/white hue that is easy to pair with everything from leggings to skinny jeans. But, even better, it’s unlikely that you’ll see anyone else rocking a color like this, so you’re bound to stand out!
2) Report ‘Monroe’ Mid Calf Boot
My loves, if you know me at all, you’re already well-aware of the fact that I am very rarely an advocate of mid calf boots. The Monroe marvel is different. The cuffed shaft and adjustable buckle straps are daringly decorous; whilst the 4 ½” heel and 1” platform while high, is completely comfortable for all-day wear.
3) MIA ‘Buckingham’
You may think that you have seen it all; but the Buckingham is the result of something never done before. The look is half county-western cowboy boot, half I’m-with-the-band rocker chic; two ingredients which equal pure perfection for your wardrobe.

4) Stuart Weitzman ‘50/50’
Dolls, as females indecisive is practically our middle-name; thank goodness for Stuart Weitzman. The 50/50 Boot is leather in the front, with an elasticized back which has a suede look, giving the wearer the best of both worlds. Really now, who can resist a two-fer?

5) Hunter ‘Hunter Original’
Regardless of what you may think, rainy days are not required to wear the haute Hunter. Comfortable, chic, and perfect for sudden downpours. Just make sure you invest in a fun color!

Happy, Happy Boot Shopping, lovers!!

Fashionably yours!
