Lingerie as Outerwear

Ok, so I'm sure everybody is wearing lingerie beneath, but you have the "courage" to show it of on daily basis? This season designers wanted to show a little more of their models, and thus the lingerie dressing was born. I'm starting to wonder if they talk about trends before they sketch collections..
From Dolce & Gabanna to Nina Ricci and Yves Saint Laurent, corsets, bras, negligees and brallets conguer the runaways. Girls, bring out the lace, mesh, satin and silk from your drawers, you can still look classy.

Over the time,I've donne a ton of polyvore sets with lingerie, some are older than a year so I did a little collection with all of them.

How would you wear it?

i just read about this is cosmoaus, i think it has to be subtle if you are to do...is not bra on top of top

Sounds interesting but I don't think that it's easy to pull that off.The sets are so amazing:X:X:X

I actually love the lingerie trend but don't own anything that could be worn on top of other things (apart from the denim corset perhaps).

I think it's a pretty trend when worn the right way <3

If done right, this can be very sexy! If not, you'll look like Madonna is the 80's, which for most people is not a good look! But I love your polyvore set!

I think it can look really good, however, it's definitely hard to pull off. It's not something I'll be trying.

Ooh, I want to wear it the way you did it in the second set - that is underwear as outerwear done right. LOVE IT!!! :)

Fabulous looks you've created!

Hope you're enjoying your vacation!

chiar ca ti'ar trebui sa ai curaj sa poti lenjeria la vedere, desi nu e ceva extrem...
imi place a 2-a tinuta creata de tine :)

xoxo :*

i love this trend, as long as it's subtle - not slutty.. you have to wear it the right way, like the looks you've made!

Some how I feel we have Madonna to thank for this..or the attitude to go through with it. It just makes you feel bold. A lot of times, I've come close to just wearing my bra at a concert..but in the end I take off my bra.

I am loving your Polyvore sets! You are good at it. I like this trend because the underneath part in not exactly your lingerie but resembles it, right?

Ultima combinatie este adorabila! Nu stiu daca as purta lenjeria intr-un astfel de outfit pe strada, este putin cam extravagant pentru mine!

Romany April 10, 2010 1:35 AM

Don't forget Alexander Wang. Hehe. ;)
Sweet sets! Polyvore is so much fun.
Personally, I don't think I could ever try the lingerie as outerwear trend. I like to keep a little mystery...

You are definitely so ahead of the rest... you had this idea before it became a trend. Brilliant! xoxo

I'd love to get a corset, and find a way to wear it as a top but I have a feeling that the exposed bra would look just plain tacky in real life.

Ashley April 10, 2010 5:07 AM

I love your polyvores, gorgeous looks!

I like the look of a corset over a tank or tee. I think that's easiest to pull off.

Susan April 10, 2010 1:41 PM

I love them all but I wouldn't wear them... :)

These sets are just perfect and some of the most amazing outfits I have seen. I think that lingerie can often look good ad outwear and I really love corsets right now.

Diane April 10, 2010 4:20 PM

The outfits you've put together are great, and I am loving this trend, although I think it takes a lot of style to wear it in the proper way!

I like the idea of this trend, I just don't know how well it will translate into everyday life, except the night life and club scene...
